What we've built
Two projects. Both delivered, both still running, both named. We would rather show you the real thing than fill a page.

JVN Play School
School management system · React, Firebase, WhatsApp Cloud API
The situation
A small school running almost entirely on paper. No central system, no software anyone trusted. They had tried a few off-the-shelf products and abandoned every one — each was built for a large institution, packed with features their staff would never use, and confusing enough that going back to the register felt easier.
What they actually wanted was the opposite of what was being sold to them: something small, built for exactly their way of working, that a non-technical staff member could use on the first day without training.
What we built
A management system shaped around their needs and nothing more. Admissions, student records, attendance and fees, with an interface simple enough that there was nothing to learn. Alongside it, WhatsApp automation that keeps parents in the loop on its own — attendance updates, fee reminders, and birthday wishes going out automatically instead of being typed by hand.
What changed
Timely fee payments improved by around 70%, because reminders now go out on their own and on time
Parent trust rose noticeably once attendance updates started arriving automatically every day
Staff were freed from the manual record-keeping that used to take up their day
No feature nobody asked for. A system a first-time user can operate without help. Still running, still supported.

Adroit Control Engineers
Network infrastructure · industrial automation firm
The situation
An industrial automation company that had grown past its network. It had been put together piece by piece over the years — a router added here, a connection extended there, no real structure and no access control. It worked when the team was small. As the company expanded, it stopped working: dead spots across the shop floor and the offices, no secure way to share files, and no room to grow.
What we built
We surveyed the site and rebuilt the network properly. Full wireless coverage across the factory and offices, a central file server for shared work, segmented and access-controlled networks so the right people reach the right systems, and secure remote access for staff working off-site.
What changed
Full coverage across all four floors — zero dead spots, and no dropped connection walking the length of the plant
Teams moved off sending files over email and WhatsApp to a shared drive they can reach from anywhere, including remotely
A secure, structured network the business can actually keep expanding on
Groundwork in place to connect the industrial systems their own work depends on
This was infrastructure rather than software, and we're listing it as exactly that. It's also why we understand what a working factory floor actually needs.
Note
We're early, and we'd rather say so
Bytesmith Labs is a young studio. That means you will not find twenty case studies here, and it also means your project gets the founder's full attention rather than whatever is left after the large accounts are served.
If you would rather work with a firm that has a hundred projects behind it, that is a completely reasonable choice and we will not try to talk you out of it.
